Very good, very fast. Lots of food for the money. Highly recommended! Non-veg special was only about $9, but I ate as much as I would have at a buffet

They are worth a try. My wife and I like Indian food and occasionally take a long drive to the one in Dr. Phillips of Turkey Lake Rd, so we are thrilled to have one now 5 minutes away. We went last week with the Yelp offer and were a bit disappointed, but may give them another try in a few months. We ordered Naan, Chicken 65, Tandoori Chicken and Shrimp Biryani for dine in, then elected to have it take out as the place was cold and the ambiance was lacking. They seemed a bit disorganized. Everything was pretty good and tasty except the shrimp. The shrimp were very small and did not taste fresh, so my wife did not eat it. It was my first time trying the Biryani rice and I was very impressed with it. Please note the Tandoori chicken does not come with rice or any side. I went back a few days later to take them up on their offer to replace the unsatisfactory shrimp biryani and ordered the chicken biryani and naan. This time the naan was over baked and crunchy, the chicken was boring and the biryani rice was way too peppery and didn't compare to the rice on my first occasion. I suspect and hope the food and service will get better over time.

Stay away! Look, I LOVE Indian food! I have been to India many times and have eaten Indian cuisine all across the globe. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I overlooked the run down building in order to try a new place as I try not to judge a book by its cover. But after sitting down you notice the unpainted patched drywall behind the small 8 or 10 partition buffet steam table. You see the dirty stained paint on the 2 swing doors that divide the dining room from the cash register and kitchen area. You begin to question if picking your utensils from an open Grey plastic dishwasher bin is the best way to avoid germs. But then again, the food ... let's try the food. Try to ignore the dingy lack of a shine reflecting a clean establishment. I will not even bother to mention the names of the items offered. It really does not matter. The bottom line, they over-seasoned everything but the rice. And the rice took 2 of the 8 (or 10) bins with food leaving a minimal number of choices. I like spicy, HOT and prefer the heat so long as it does not overwhelm or destroy the essence of the flavor I am there to enjoy. But these dishes were HOT, and I mean HOT! The garbanzo dish was the hottest but the others was nearly as hot too. As for a salad offering ... it was one item, cold drained kidney beans. Bread ... none in the table. I ordered an Onion Kulcha but it never came. I was offered the bread as I went to pay and refused it as it was 20 minutes since I'd ordered it. We had water. It was served in old standard issue and well worn plastic cups with no ice. The charge was $9.99 per person and I can tell you that this is the first time in many years that I tipped nothing. There was no service offered to speak of. They took our order and brought water and that was it. I love to hear proper music ties to the cuisine and there are many great Indian tracks that could be enjoyed with lunch. Instead, a tacky and low budget Bollywood dance video was on and wayyyyy too loud for the room. I strongly urge that if you desire Indian, you go elsewhere. And yes, there are other choices nearby. I will say this ... and it is the only redeeming thing that I can say. The food appeared clean and freshly prepared. That said, the chicken tandoori was dry and I wondered if it was not left over but I am unsure. Avoid this place at all cost. You have been warned!

Not a good experience. Figured I would give it one shot. Well one visit was enough. Ordered an appetizer and 25 minutes later the waiter who doesn't understand or speak English came out and said they cannot make the dosa. Why? No idea. Another 20 minutes and meal arrived. One dish every 10 minutes. The butter chicken and chicken tikka masala were exactly the same dish. The fish dish made with tilapia had the skin attached and full of bones. The nan was great. So all in all a very bad experience. Go elsewhere.

Namaste, no mas! Wow, this is hard to even organize into a review. First of all, I didn't think it was possible to make "bad" Indian food. I know I've had excellent to possibly okay but I have never had the occasion to throw away my left-overs as I did this time, the food is only part of it though. The service was the worst I've ever had anywhere. We were greeted by a young man who was nice but totally bizarre. He asked us what we'd like to drink and I asked for a Coke, he repeated, "Diet Coke" and I corrected him, "Regular Coke, please". He said they were out of regular but then he didn't offer an alternative so I had to ask. Fine, no biggie, I got a Sprite in a can I had to ask for a glass of ice - I only mention that because after ten little things, they all add up. Alright, so then we asked if he could tell us if the naan was vegan. At first he said yes, then he said no, then he asked what vegan meant. At this point I'm getting a little frustrated because he's not being honest but still, I explain what vegan is: no meat, no dairy, "no eggs - I think some people may refer to it as strict vegetarian". He says, okay, does not tell me whether the naan falls into this category but, instead, proceeds to recommend a dish with cheese. I ask, "isn't paneer dairy?" and he laughs nervously; again, I ask if it isn't cheese and finally he says yes. Still trying to be nice because even though he's completely screwing up he seems *nice*. Then we finally straighten the entrees out and we order the combo per his suggestion, when I ask again about the ahan, he says he will go ask (novel idea). He returns to tell me that the naan is not vegan, he isn't sure what's in it but it's not vegan. I wait for some sort of suggestion which does not come so I bite and ask if another bread is - perhaps the roti. He says happily, yes! the roti is. So we ask to substitute it, generally not a big deal and they're the same exact price but! no, we can't do that. I am now a bit annoyed, it's taken like ten minutes to get anywhere and one already-made bread cannot be substituted? He tells me that they will deduct it from the price! I guess my composure got misplaced at this point because I heard myself say, 'that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of!: I got up, can of Sprite still unopened, and as I was leaving my seat he said to wait, that he could substitute with roti afterall. So we said okay, despite feeling that the experience was so lousy we should split the way you know you should the first time the crazy comes out in a relationship. Now for the food. I get my yellow dal and my husband get chana masala - these are fairly common dishes we've had a hundred times so what could go wrong. Well, the dal was bright yellow, looked like it had jelly in it (probably corn starch), and was room temperature. My husband's chana looked more promising and was warm but that was about it. They were both bland - I didn't think that was possible either but I'm here to tell ya, it is! It's totally possible and it is pretty terrible, the closest comparison to the dal is probably baby food. The side of fried cauliflower was probably not bad at one time but mine was cold and limp - I ate it anyway because it was the best thing next to the rice which was actually almost hot. My husband reminded me that I forgot a couple of things. At some point during or after the meal, the waiter, for some reason, repeated that they made an exception about the whole bread thing and that it was not customary, maybe I misinterpreted the tone because it was really an unnecessary thing to bring up, but I got the implication that we should have been very grateful. And then when we were signing the credit card, the waiter stood directly over us as my husband was adding the tip and signing - it felt very uncomfortable so we both mumbled that we had it from here but there he remained. So we tried a more direct approach and asked that he let us sign without standing over us but there he remained so we said, "or not" and as we left I commented that it was really poor manners to stare at a customer when they were adding the tip. What did he think? That we were going to leave? He'd stood there to see my husband sign his name, we's already given our card information, it was all very weird and made for a terrible finish to an equally terrible beginning and middle. I had what I think were reasonable hopes for this place and it's so close so it would have benefited me to have liked it but there was nothing redeemable at all. I'll stick to the Indian place in the mall for cheap stuff and the restaurant down 436 for dinner and make sure I don't pass go when I see this chain. PS That roti, it was spongy, my guess is it's frozen, possibly thawed a little, and then heated - hopefully not in the microwave. Let me add another thing I had forgotten, it was close to 80 degrees inside on the day I visited and I'm usually very cold :(

Get it right most of the time. I have ordered some dishes where the cook did not execute well, and they actually refused to serve me the dish! That is perfectly fine with me. If you would not eat it, do not serve it! Food is not expensive and is tasty for the price range. If you are a vegan, ask ALL the questions multiple times. Explain what you cannot eat and also derivative products. I do recommend if you are looking for an ecstasy inducing indian food experience you keep going down the road to another restaurant. This is "fairly" cheap eats with one cook and one waiter in the house. It wont be fast. It wont be the best. It is pretty basic. PS:I just had to change my review from 2 stars to 1 star. I ordered food to go at 11:50 AM and was told to pickup in 40 minutes. I arrived in at 12:45 (55 minutes) and then waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the front of the restaurant where myself and a single party of 2 patrons (who were eating in) were located. I was acknowledged and the other patrons were served, 1 at a time, 10 minutes apart.. Then I was asked if I could wait another 10 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes before receiving my order to go and was given a free order of fried rice. So it took 30 extra minutes to get my order and a total of 1 1/2 hours from order until I was out the door. Maybe they only have 1 wok in the kitchen? We are seeking other options in the future. OH ONE MORE THING! THE ADVERTISED LUNCH BUFFET ON THE SIGN OUTSIDE WAS NOT IN EXISTENCE. ;)

not welcoming, a bit pricey for such a small buffet and would NOT let me use the YELP coupon for 10% off total check. I will NOT be going back.

The food is really great, very traditional Indian food. Service is mediocre but they have someone new working who's sweet. The lunch buffet is fantastic, sometimes the food is spicy so be careful. Try the mango lassi!
